Si Games For Kids

Kids can play online games through the Sports Illustrated Kids website.

Sports Illustrated Kids provides online fun through their website, SI Kids. Here children can read sports-related news, watch videos, make their own magazine covers and e-cards, and play games. The target audience for SI Kids is children ages six through 17. The website's fun features are free and you don't have to register to play, but if you want to save your results or send your e-card, you must register. Registration is free and doesn't collect personal information.

Jigsaw Puzzle, V.2

For children who like puzzles and sports, this could be a great game. Kids are offered a selection of puzzles portraying sports figures or events. After selecting the puzzle, they can choose between five levels of difficulty, from "Super Easy," with six puzzle pieces, to "Insane," with 200 pieces. Using the mouse, pieces are dragged into the middle of the screen to be fit together. The faster the puzzle comes together, the more points you gain.

Fireboy and Watergirl

Kids navigate Fireboy and Watergirl through a series of mazes, with obstacles, perils and prizes along the way. Fireboy and Watergirl must work together to get through a maze, but fire and water cannot mix. If Fireboy goes through a pool of water, he evaporates, and the same fate awaits Watergirl in a pool of fire. Not to worry, though, since both characters can move in both directions and jump over such perils. Each level has different diamonds, which the characters must collect quickly, in order to score points and move onto the next level.

Power Shot

Hockey fans may enjoy this game. Kids go one-on-one with a goalie to land the puck in the net for a goal. This game is played with the mouse, which is used to position the hockey player and shoot the puck. The player must make as many goals as possible in a limited amount of time, while taking on the goalie blocking the shots.

Xtreme BMX

Kids who like the X Games and extreme sports might want to try this game out. A BMX competitor must ride through an obstacle course, performing jumps and other tricks for points. The action is performed using the arrow keys, the spacebar and certain typepad keys for additional tricks. Three separate levels put the player in different BMX venues: "Park Grinder," "Shredder Alley" and "Planet Dirt."

Chibi Ninja Ropes

Kids must help the ninjas from the Chibi Clan slide down ropes and enter their holy temple. However, danger awaits, as the ropes can lead the ninjas instead to the haunted temples and death. The player uses the mouse to make a rope path, leading the ninjas away from the haunted temples and into the safety of the holy temple. Players earn points for guiding the ninjas to safety. These points earn the player coins, which can be used to enhance their ninja techniques.
