Flash A Nokia 6265i

The Nokia 6265I can store hundreds of photos.


The Nokia 6265I is a mobile phone used on wireless networks such as U.S. Cellular, Cricket and MetroPCS. The phone includes a digital camera, text messaging, bluetooth capability, and an organizer application. Flashing, or unlocking, your 6265I lets you use the phone on any carrier. You can flash your Nokia phone by contacting your cell phone provider with the phone's IMEI number. The provider will give you the unlock code to flash your device.


Instructions


Locate IMEI Number


1. Charge your Nokia 6265 phone battery until it has full power. Insert the power cable into the circular slot on the side of the phone. Plug the other end of the adapter into an electrical outlet. The Nokia screen will notify you when the battery has been fully charged.


2. Remove the Nokia 6265I's battery. Slide off the back cover of the phone. Pull out the battery gently to avoid damaging it.


3. Remove the phone's SIM card. The SIM card sits in a small gray slot beneath the battery. The card will have a small indentation on it to help you pull it out. Insert your thumb nail into this indentation and clasp the bottom of the card with your index finger. Pull the SIM card out of the slot slowly to prevent scratching.


4. Write down the IMEI number written on the card. The number should 15 digits long.


5. Reinsert the SIM card and the battery into the Nokia 6265I.


Obtain Wireless Unlock Code


6. Contact your cell phone provider and ask for the unlock code to your Nokia 62665I. Every phone sold by a cellular carrier comes with an unlock code that allows the phone to be used on other providers. Call the the customer service department at your cellular provider. Give the agent your account information and the 15-digit IMEI code you wrote down earlier. He will provide you with the unlock code for your phone.


7. Turn on the cell phone and enter "+1#" into the keypad. Press and hold the red button with a phone icon on it. Wait for the phone to power up. Type "+1#" using the phone's keypad. Press the green button beneath the LCD screen.


8. Type the unlock code into the phone. Enter the series of numbers given to you by the phone company. Wait for the LCD screen to display "SIM Restriction Off." The phone can now be used with any cell phone provider.
