The Disney Mix Stick is an MP3 player that is made for preteens and teenagers. It is easy to use and made especially for children. You have different options when it comes to downloading music to the Disney Mix Stick. You can add music that is already on your computer, from a CD or from a SD/MMC Card.


Instructions


Transfer Music Already on the Computer


1. Connect the Disney Mix Stick to your computer's USB port. The computer will automatically load the drivers for the Mix Stick.


2. Click "Start" and "Computer." You should see the Disney Mix Stick icon under the Removable Disks section. Double-click on the icon and it will display the music currently on the Disney Mix Stick.


3. Open another Computer window by clicking "Start" and "Computer." Double-click on the hard disk drive "(C:)." Double-click on the folder that holds the music you want to put on the Mix Stick. Make sure both Computer windows are open. Drag and drop the songs by selecting them in the second Computer window and dragging them over to the first Computer window onto the Mix Stick icon.

4. Insert the CD with the songs in the CD/DVD drive on your computer. Open Windows Media Player by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop or through the Start menu.


5. Click "Tools" at the top and select "Options." The options window will open. Click the "Rip Music" tab. Click the "Format" drop down box in the middle of the screen and select either "MP3" or "Windows Media Audio." Click "Apply" and "OK" to close the Options window.


6. Click "Rip" at the top of the window. You will see the songs on the CD listed in the middle of the screen. Put a check mark in the box next to each of the songs that you want to add. Click the "Start Rip" button. The songs on the CD will be transferred to a folder on your hard drive. You can remove the CD when the transfer is completed.


7. Connect the Disney Mix Stick to a USB port on your computer. Click the "Sync" tab at the top of the screen in Windows Media Player. You will see the Disney Mix Stick on the right side. Click the "Library" link on the left side. Click "Songs" and the songs on your computer will be listed.


8. Right-click on each song you want to put on the Disney Mix Stick and select "Add to Sync List." When you have selected all of the songs click "Start Sync" at the bottom right side of the window. The songs you selected will now download to your Disney Mix Stick.


Download Music from a SD/MMC Card


9. Insert your SD/MMC card into the card reader port on your computer. Click "Start" and "Computer." Double-click on the SD/MMC card listed under "Removable Storage Devices."


10. Click "Start" and "Computer" to open another Computer window. Double-click on the folder that holds the songs you want to download to your Mix Stick. Make sure both Computer windows are open so you can move the files from one window to the other.


11. Drag and drop the songs from the second Computer window onto the SD/MMC icon in the first Computer window. Remove the card from your computer and put it in the SD/MMC card slot on your Disney Mix Stick.


12. Remove the Disney Mix Stick by clicking the "Safe to remove hardware" icon on the task bar. A "Safely Remove Hardware" window will open. Click "USB Mass Storage Device" and click the "Stop" button. The "Stop a Hardware Device" window will open. Click "OK" and when the "Safe to Remove Hardware" window opens, disconnect the Disney Mix Stick from your computer.
