Convert Jar Files For Java Cell Phones

JAD files are used to install apps on Java cell phones.

A JAR -- short for Java ARchive -- file is an archive containing the Java class files, metadata and resources that make up a Java application. Although a JAR file can be used to install an app on a Java-enabled cell phone, some phones only work with JAD -- Java Application Descriptor -- files. Furthermore, if the JAR file is greater than 1 MB, most phones will only accept and install it as a JAD file. Converting JAR files for Java cell phones amounts to converting JAR files to JAD files.
