The E63 is a third-generation technology cellphone that the Finland-based Nokia Corporation released in 2009. According to the online product review resource CNET, the Nokia E63 has several beneficial features, including email support, a full QWERTY keyboard and integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity support. However, despite these features, the E63 also has several problems. While you can remedy some of these issues, others are permanent.
Call Quality
One of the issues that you'll be unable to remedy is the E63's inconsistent call quality. As CNET notes, while calls will sound loud and clear on the caller's side of the connection, receivers of Nokia E63 calls may notice a variety of quality issues. These issues include audio cutting in and out, dropped calls, choppiness and static. However, these disruptive call quality issues aren't constant, meaning in some instances calls will sound loud and clear on both ends.
Camera Concerns
The Nokia E63 has an integrated, 2-megapixel digital camera, which means the phone's camera can capture still images using 2 million tiny squares of illumination. According to CNET, this camera performs well in environments with ample natural light, allowing for clear images with realistic coloring. However, when snapping photos in all other environments, the Nokia E63 camera's images appear washed out and gray. This is true even when you use the camera's flash. If captured images appear smudgy, clean the protective window covering the camera's lens.
Application Unresponsiveness
As is the case with computer applications, the applications on the Nokia E63 can sometimes become unresponsive. When this occurs, navigating within and exiting out of applications can become impossible. To remedy this issue, press and hold the phone's home key. When a list of applications appears on the E63's screen, scroll to the unresponsive application and press the backspace key to close it.
Bluetooth Issues
Bluetooth technology allows the Nokia E63 to connect wirelessly with Bluetooth headsets and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. However, in some instances, the Nokia E63 may not be able recognize a Bluetooth device. As possible solutions, make sure that the device in question isn't in hidden mode, that the distance between the phone and the device doesn't exceed 33 feet and and that the there are no obstructions, such as walls, between the phone and the device. If a wireless connection between the E63 and a Bluetooth device won't end -- and you want it to -- press "Menu," "Connectivity," "Bluetooth" and then "Off."
