List Of Universities In Germany Offering Special Education

Quality education is provided in Germany regardless of disability.

The focus of special education is to provide specific support for students with long-term physical impairments or mental disabilities. Degrees in this field are a vital part of the educational system in Germany. In April 2001, a social welfare code was enacted to provide equal opportunities and ban discrimination. Select German universities have become centers for study and research with state of the art facilities. Graduates from these schools have assumed important roles as teachers at special needs schools throughout Germany.
