Transfer Contacts From A Motorola Phone

Use your Motorola SIM card to transfer contacts.

When you program your contacts into your Motorola device, you are sometimes asked if you want to store your contacts information on the phone's memory or your SIM card. If you are not presented with this option, then the information is automatically stored on your SIM card according to the Motorola User Guide. But if you have stored your contacts on your Motorola phone and need to transfer them to another phone using the SIM card, you need to manually save the contacts to the Motorola's SIM card.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Motorola phone with your SIM card firmly in place.

2. Enter your contacts folder, so all of the contacts are visible to you in list format.

3. Highlight all of your contacts by choosing a "Select all" option or adding check-marks next to each contact. This depends on the type of Motorola phone you have.

4. Browse through your new list of options after the contacts are highlighted. Click on the option that says "Copy to SIM" or "Copy all to SIM."

5. Look at your Motorola screen to follow the transfer process. It will show you a percentage of contacts that have been copied.

6. Turn off your Motorola phone, once the transfer has completed. Remove the SIM card and place it in the cell phone you want to transfer the contact list to. Once you turn on this new phone, the contact list will appear under the contacts folder.
