Use A Jawbone Bluetooth Headset

The Jawbone Bluetooth headset offers the convenience of wireless, hands-free communication with features such as a voice activity sensor and noise shielding technology. Setup for a Jawbone Bluetooth headset is simple and it takes only a few minutes to learn use it.


Instructions


1. Familiarize yourself with the headset. You should find the "Talk" and "Noise Shield" buttons on the outside of the unit. The earloop and earbud connect on the inside of the unit. The voice activity sensor is on the opposite side of the earbud on the inside of the headset.


2. Pair Jawbone with your Bluetooth enabled phone. Place the Jawbone headset close to your phone. Make sure the Jawbone is turned off and activate your phone's Bluetooth function. Press and hold the "Noise Shield" button on your Jawbone until the LED flashes red and white. Set your phone to search for Bluetooth devices and select "Jawbone" from the list. Enter "0000" as your password. Check your phone to be sure that Jawbone is active.


3. Customize the fit of your Jawbone by selecting the most comfortable earloop and earbud from the options that came with your headset. Be sure that the voice activity sensor is touching your cheek when you are wearing the headset.


4. Answer a call by pressing the "Talk" button. You will hear the ring in your headset. End a call by pressing the "Talk" button. You can reject a call by pressing the "Noise Shield" button. You can also use voice dialing on the Jawbone by pressing the "Talk" button if your phone has a voice dialing feature.


5. Turn Jawbone's noise shield off by pressing and holding the "Noise Shield" button for 3 seconds during a call. You should hear a set of descending tones to let you know that it is off. Turn the noise shield back on the same way. Noise shield will be active by default.


6. Charge your Jawbone by connecting the USB charge cable to the Jawbone headset. You should have received a wall charger with a USB socket as well as the USB charge cable. You can plug the wall charger into a standard 120V outlet and plug in the USB connector to it. You also can plug the USB cable into a computer and charge your Jawbone with a computer. Charge your Jawbone completely before your first use.
