Call An Ipod Touch Using Tango

Make voice and video calls with Tango.

Tango is a downloadable cellphone application that allows users to make voice and video calls for free, over the 3G network or Wi-Fi. Calls can be made to and from anywhere in the world. Tango is an alternative to using the regular contract minutes on a cellphone, but should not be viewed as a replacement.

Instructions

1. Before installing Tango, be sure your device is compatible. Tango only supports Android 2.1 or higher, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4G running 4.0 or higher, iPod Touch fourth generation and iPad. Make sure the person you are trying to contact has a valid Tango account and has it downloaded on his iPod Touch. Tango can only make calls to other Tango users. Both parties must have a valid account and have the application downloaded on their devices.

2. For Apple users, go to the iTunes store to download the application. Tango is free to download and free to use. Once the application is downloaded, register for an account or log in using credentials previously registered.

3. Ensure your contact list is up to date, complete with area codes. Tango will check the list, find the people who are already using Tango and place them in the application's contacts. You have the option to send an invite to those contacts who do not use Tango. Select the person you want to call from Tango's contact list and begin a call. Switch from voice to video in the middle of a call, simply by pressing the camera button on the screen.
