Many phones require a Flash plug-in to view multimedia applications.
The Flash player plug-in allows you to view rich multimedia applications on your cell phone. Many websites are developed using Flash technology and require an Internet browser that has Flash capability to support them. Adobe offers Flash Lite, a plug-in for smartphones, to consumers and manufacturers to facilitate viewing mobile multimedia applications. According to Adobe, "Adobe Flash Lite 3 is a highly optimized implementation of the Flash runtime for mobile phones, consumer electronic devices and Internet-connected digital home devices." The application comes installed by the manufacturer on many cell phone brands.
Instructions
1. Download Flash Lite by visiting Adobe's website at Adobe.com. Enter your account log in information or create an account. Search the site for "Flash Lite download." Click the download link.
2. Accept the terms of the end user agreement if you agree. Select your download option by clicking the download link for your phone's operating system version. For example, if your phone's operating system is Windows Mobile 5, select the "Download for Windows" link.
3. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable. Push the USB connection side into your PC. Push the other side into your phone. Wait for Windows to recognize your device.
4. Transfer the software to your phone. Open "My Computer" from the "Start" menu or your desktop. Browse to "Desktop" in the "My Computer" window. Right-click the Adobe Flash Lite .CAB file and select "Copy" from the shortcut menu. Browse to your phones internal storage and double-click to open. Right-click inside your phones storage area and select "Paste" to copy the file to your phone. Disconnect your phone from your computer by removing the USB cable from your phone.
5. Install the software to your phone by opening the "File Manager" on your phone from the "Start" menu. Browse to the Adobe Flash Lite .CAB file you saved to your phone. Select the icon for the file. Your phone will run and install the software. You will find an icon in the "Start" menu once the installation process is complete.
