The ability to be able to listen to your own music anywhere, at any time on your mobile phone is one of the greatest technological achievements of the 20th century. Unfortunately, the Nokia 5310 instruction manual isn't clear about use it and can make the process of transferring music from your computer to your phone for the first time seem like a daunting prospect. It only takes a few minutes and can be accomplished with a USB cable, the phone and a computer.
Instructions
1. Click on and launch Windows Media Player. If you don't have the software on your computer, go to the Microsoft website to download the latest version.
2. Plug the small end of the USB cable that came with your phone into the top of your Nokia 5310 and the large end into your computer. Wait for the computer to register the new device.
3. Select the "Printing & Media" option when the Nokia 5310 prompts you to select a USB mode.
4. Select the "Sync" tab located on the top right hand side of the Windows Media Player screen on your computer.
5. Navigate to your music "Library" on the left-hand side of the screen. Select any music you want to copy to your Nokia 5310 by clicking on the song or album title, dragging to the "Sync List" in the right-hand box.
6. Click the "Start Sync" button at the bottom of the "Sync List."
7. Disconnect your Nokia 5310 from your computer when the music has finished transferring to your phone and the "Sync List" indicates that it is safe to disconnect.
