Convert An Mp3 To A Ringtone Online For Free

Upload your MP3 to a free site and convert it to a ringtone.


If you're tired of listening to the default ringtones that came already installed on your cellphone and you don't want to pay to download new ringtones, you could convert one of the MP3 songs on your computer into a ringtone. You don't need an MP3 editing program on your computer. Instead, upload the song from your computer to a free online site that converts MP3s to ringtones, download the new ringtone to your computer, and then transfer it to your cellphone according to the manufacturer's instructions.


Instructions


Make Your Own Ringtones Online


1. Go to the Make Your Own Ringtones Online website's "Free Ringtone Maker" page at makeownringtone.com


2. Click "Upload." A dialog box opens. Click on a folder on your computer that has the MP3 you want to convert. Click the file to select it, and then click "Open." The MP3 uploads to the site and a graphic display of the song's sound waves appears in the window.


3. Click on a section of the song that you want to use for the ringtone. Click "Play" to listen to what you selected. The length of the section you selected appears in the "Selected Duration" window, and the start and finish time markers appear in the "Selected Portion" window.


4. Click "Make a Ringtone." The site generates a ringtone from your MP3. A window appears when it is ready.


5. Right-click "Download Ringtone" to save it to your computer.

6. Go to the I Want Fun Ringtones website's "Free MP3 to Ringtone Converter" page at iwfr.net


7. Click the "Browse" button under "Step 1. Upload." A dialog box opens. Click on a folder on your computer that has the MP3 you want to convert. Click the file to select it, and then click "Open."


8. Click the "Upload" button. The MP3 file transfers from your computer to the website. Click the slider controls under "Modify" to select a portion of the MP3 to convert into a ringtone. Click "Preview" to listen to the selection you made.


9. Click the "Create" drop-down menu and then click on a ringtone format, such as "Lo-Fi" or "Hi-Fi." Click "Complete."


10. Click "Click Here to Download Ringtone" to download the ringtone to your computer.

11. Go to the Cellsea website's "Free Online Ringtone Maker" page at cellsea.com


12. Click the "Browse" button next to "Load From Your PC." A dialog box opens. Click on a folder on your computer that has the MP3 you want to convert. Click the file to select it, and then click "Open."'


13. Click "Upload." The MP3 uploads from your computer to the site. A page opens with an MP3 player controller window. Drag the start and end point markers below the MP3 to select the portion and length of the song that you want to convert into a ringtone.


14. Press the play button to hear your selection. Click "Create Ringtone." The site generates a ringtone and starts playing it back in a loop.


15. Click "Save It." Type your username or email address and your password for the Cellsea site at the prompt. If you don't have a free Cellsea account yet, you are prompted to register, and then click the download link to save the ringtone to your computer.
