Download Music To A Phone'S Memory Card

Transfer music from computer to a phone's memory card.

Many phones, including those manufactured by Motorola, use SD (Secure Digital) memory cards to store music. By using a memory card reader, you can copy the music from your computer's hard drive directly onto your cell phone's memory card. This is useful when you want to listen to your favorite songs on the go.

Instructions

1. Remove your cell phone's battery cover by sliding it off with your thumb. Generally the cover is located on the rear of your cellular device. Gently pull the battery out of the rear of the phone and place it somewhere safe. Eject your phone's memory card by pressing the card inward.

2. Insert your phone's memory card into your computer's card reader. Click on the Windows logo at the bottom-left portion of your computer screen. Select the "My Computer" tab. Locate the device called "SD Card" underneath the heading titled "Devices with Removable Storage." Double-click on the card to open it.

3. Locate the music files that you wish to transfer to your phone's memory card. Copy the files by right-clicking on them and selecting the "Copy" option. Return to the SD card window and paste the files by right-clicking and selecting the "Paste" option. Wait until the file transfer is complete and remove the card from the computer.

4. Place the memory card and battery back into your cell phone and replace the battery cover. You have now successfully transferred music from your computer to your cell phone's memory card.
