The Nokia N80's number pad slides down from behind the phone.
The Nokia N80 is a multimedia smartphone utilizing the Symbian operating system released in 2006. The phone can connect through EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi. It has two 3.15 megapixel cameras with support for video recording. Photos and video can be saved on the 40MB internal storage or on to an external microSD card with up to 2GB of space.
Instructions
1. Connect to a Wi-Fi network by clicking the menu, then selecting "Connect," then "Connection Manager" and then "Available WLAN." Here you may choose an available network and then enter any passwords if needed.
2. Insert a memory card by opening the memory card door and sliding the card in. The back of the card should be facing up. Slide it in and it will lock in place. Close the door. Back up your settings by selectng selecting "Tools" then "Memory" then "Options." Choose "Back up phone memory" to transfer the device's information to the memory card.
3. Dial a number by sliding out the number pad, typing the number in, then hitting the green button to "Send" the call. Click the red button to "End" a call. Create a conference call by calling one number, selecting "Options" then "New Call" to dial a second number and then choosing "Options" then "Conference" to connect the two calls.
4. Take photos by opening the menu and selecting "Imaging" then "Camera." On the bottom right of the camera is the "Capture" key. Press and hold this in to take a photo. The phone has a camera on the front and back, to switch between them select "Options" then select the main or secondary camera. Select "Options," then "Imaging Setup" to change zoom, lighting and color settings. "Shooting Mode" will allow you to utilize various preset options.
5. Select "Options" then "Video Mode" to switch to video. Press the "Capture" button to begin recording. Choose "Options" then "Video Setup" to change the video settings.
6. Edit images or video by selecting them and then pressing"Options" then "Edit." Enter the gallery by selecting "Gallery" from the phone's main menu or by pressing "Options" then "Go to Gallery."
7. Add music to the device by connecting your phone to a computer with a USB cable or by inserting the microSD card in to a card reader. With USB connected, open the main menu and select "Connect" then "Data Cable." Drag and drop files on to the device listed under "Computer." After disconnecting from the computer, open the main menu and select "Music Player." The player will automatically search for music on the device. If it does not, press "Options" then "Music Library" then "Update Music Library."
8. Send a text or media message by opening the main menu and selecting "Message." Select "New message." Add multimedia by selecting "Options" then "Insert Object" and then choosing the type of file you wish to insert. Click "Options" then "Send" when finished. Select a message and press "Options" then "Delete" to remove messages.
9. Add or edit contacts by opening the main menu and selecting "Contacts." Press "Options" then "New contact" to add a contact. Select a contact, press "Options" and then "Edit" to change their information. From the edit screen, you can add an image to the contact by selecting "Options" then "Add Thumbnail."
