Samsung Wep200 Manual Directions

If you need to keep your hands free to do things like work on a computer or drive your car, but still need to talk on your phone, the Samsung WEP200 may be your answer. The WEP200 is a wireless headset that uses Bluetooth technology to connect to your cell phone. Since the WEP200 only has one function button, using it is fairly easy, but before you can get connected you need to power the headset up and pair it with a mobile phone.

Instructions

Charging

1. Open the top of the small charging case that came with the WEP200.

2. Place the headset into the case so the earbud fits into the recess in the bottom of the case. Close the top of the case.

3. Plug the connector on the travel charger into the port on the side of the case, then plug the charger into an outlet.

4. Wait until the light on the headset turns from red to blue, which indicates that the headset is sully charged. The top of the case is translucent, so you can see the light without opening the case.

Pairing

5. Remove the headset from the charging case and watch the light on the headset. If it flashes every few seconds, that means the headset is on. Press and hold the large button on the headset for about four seconds. You will see the light quickly flash twice and the headset will power off.

6. Press and hold the large button on the WEP200 until the light on the headset becomes a solid blue. This will take about eight seconds.

7. Search for the headset on your mobile phone. This exact process will be different for each model of phone, but most of them will have a "Find," "Find New," "Add" or "Add New" option in the Bluetooth menu.

8. Select "WEP200" from the list of Bluetooth devices that you phone finds. Enter "0000" as the passcode when your phone prompts you to enter one.

Using

9. Press and hold the main button on the headset for four seconds to power it on. The indicator light will flash once every few seconds while the device is on.

10. Push the main button once to start a voice dial call, or to answer an incoming call. Press the button again to end the call.

11. Press and hold the button for two seconds to either redial the last number, or to reject an incoming call and send the caller to your voicemail. If you press and hold the button while on a call you will put the caller on hold, and answer a second incoming call if there is one.

12. Push the volume button that is closer to the main button to raise the volume. Press the volume button directly underneath the first button to lower the volume. If you press and hold the volume up button, you will mute the headset.

Wearing

13. Rotate the loop that is around the earbud so that it is pointing down, depending on which ear you are going to use the WEP200 in.

14. Place the headset into your ear and wiggle it back and forth until it feels comfortable.

15. Position the phone on your body, or in the room, so there are as few obstructions between the phone and the WEP200 as possible.
