Get Tmobile Ringtones

While the ringtones that come on your T-Mobile phone are decent, most people prefer to download ringtones that fit their personality and style. Follow the steps below to download T-Mobile ringtones either online or through your cell phone.

Instructions

Acquire Ringtones From the Website

1. Go to the T-Mobile website (see Resources) and log in to your account in the upper right corner of the page. If you don't have online access to your account, click on "Register" under the log in boxes.

2. Scroll over the "Shop" tab once you log in to your account. Select the "Ringtones" option.

3. Search for a specific song with the search option at the top of the page. Enter in the song title or artist and click "Go."

4. Browse for ringtones by category. HiFi ringers are short snippets of actual songs. Megatones are digital remakes of those songs and are usually quite a bit cheaper than the HiFi ringers.

5. Click on the speaker symbol to the right of a song to listen to it. This will open a pop-up window with a player and will also show how much the ringtone costs. Click on "Buy Now" either in the pop-up window or "Buy" next to the song listing to purchase the ringtone. T-Mobile adds any ringtone purchases to your next billing statement.

Obtain Ringtones Through Your Phone

6. Access t-zones through your cell phone. Some phones have a link from the initial screen. Otherwise, access t-zones through the menu by selecting the t-zones symbol (it looks like an "@" symbol, except that the "a" is a "t") or the t-zones listing.

7. Go to the Downloads tab and select "Music & Sounds." Type in a search for a specific song our artist in the search box just like you would type a text message and select "search."

8. Select HiFi ringers or Megatones to browse for songs by category. T-Mobile divides each category by decade and by the artists name in alphabetical order. Use the browse function that works best for the type of music you're searching for.

9. Choose the song you want to purchase. Then t-zones will list the purchase price for the ringtone and ask you to "Accept" this price and continue with the purchase. Once you confirm, your phone will download the ringtone. Most phones give you the option automatically to listen to the song after the download and set it as your new ringtone.

10. Find your new ringtone by going to your phone's menu and selecting "Fun & Apps." Select "Files" and then "Sounds" (this may also give you another means of browsing ringtones on t-zones). In the Sounds menu, select "sounds" again to see the ringtones currently on your phone.

11. Change your phone's ringtone by following step five and selecting the ringtone you would like to use. Select "options" and choose the selection that makes that song the ringtone, often listed as "make this my ringtone."
