Unlock A Sony T100

You can get the most out of your Sony Ericsson T100 by unlocking it.

Unlocking your Sony Ericsson T100 can do a couple of different things for you. First, it allows you to use any service provider you want without having to buy a new phone from them. This can potentially save you money at home and abroad (by circumventing long distance and roaming fees). Second, unlocking increases the resale value of your T100 phone by up to 300 percent, according to Unlock All Cellular. So if you've discovered your old T100, and want to get rid of it, unlocking will help you get the best possible price.

Instructions

1. Get your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number by typing "*#06#" into your keypad. Write down the 15-digit number that appears on your screen.

2. Call your service provider and request an unlock code. Get ready to give them your mobile number, e-mail address and IMEI number. They should e-mail you the code within 24 hours.

3. Power on your phone and navigate to the home screen.

4. Press the "Left" navigation key one time, press the "star (*)" button twice and then press the "Left" navigation key once more. A message will appear on your screen reading "Personalized with MNC2" or "Personalized with MNC3."

5. Wait for five seconds or until a picture appears with a closed lock. Press "Select." The screen will now say "Unlock (Net) 5" along with the letters "NCK."

6. Enter the unlock code you received. The screen will say "Network Unlocked," indicating that your phone is now unlocked.
