Adaptive Multi-rate, or AMR, is a codec used by 3GPP-based mobile networks to carry speech data. In addition, AMR files are used on mobile phones to enable you to record your own voice. Since the AMR is for speech coding, this format does not produce decent enough sound quality and you must convert AMR to another audio format.
