Enable Gps On A Blackberry

Download and enable GPS on your BlackBerry.


One of the great things about BalckBerry smart phones is that you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a GPS unit or navigation system. With your phone, you can simply download and enable any GPS service right to your phone. You can choose to the enable the GPS or navigation service that's pre-downloaded onto your phone from your service provider, or you can choose to pick out your own service through App World. However, one thing to keep in mind is that many App World GPS services may come with a fee.


Instructions


Enable Service Provider GPS


1. Click the "BlackBerry" icon button located to the left of your trackball or trackpad. This will open your BlackBerry Home screen and all your applications.


2. Click on the preloaded GPS or navigation application from your service provider. For example: Sprint Navigation, AT&T Navigator or Verizon GPS.


3. Enter in your information--it typically will ask for your email address and a new password for your GPS.


4. Click "Download," and allow several minutes for the application to download. Once downloaded, you can begin using it.

5. Click on the "BlackBerry" icon button to open your Home screen.


6. Click on "App World" from the Home screen.


7. Click "Search" at the bottom of the App World screen.


8. Type "GPS" or "Navigation" in the search box. Click on your trackball or trackpad to start the search. Scroll through the different GPS services available to you. Click the one you want to download to your phone.


9. Select "Download" to download the application to your phone. The application will appear on your Home screen when it is finished downloading.
