Reset The Razzle

The Razzle's QWERTY keyboard makes text messaging easier.

The Razzle is a cell phone made for Verizon Wireless sporting a full QWERTY keyboard, access to VCast features and 3G handset data. Resetting your Razzle can help correct software issues on the device. You can hard reset a Razzle to restore the phone to its original setup, if possible. Doing a hard reset to your Razzle will also remove any personal information such as contacts and call history from the phone, in case you plan on selling a de-activated Razzle, or moving it to a different number. A soft reset will stop any running applications and resolve some software run issues, but does not remove any personal information from the Razzle.

Instructions

Hard Reset Your Razzle

1. Back up any personal information from the Razzle that you may need in the future, since resetting cell phones wipes personal information off of them.

2. Spin the QWERTY keyboard forward and select the "OK" button to open the Razzle's main menu.

3. Navigate to "Settings & Tools" and open the menu by clicking the Razzle's "OK" button.

4. Scroll down to highlight "Phone Settings" and press "OK."

5. Highlight "Security" and open it by choosing "OK."

6. Enter the Razzle's security code when prompted. This number defaults to the last four digits of whatever number the cell phone was assigned to, or could be a custom code assigned to the phone in the past.

7. Choose "Restore Phone" then press the "OK" button. Following the on-screen prompts, choose "Yes" then press "OK" twice. Enter the Razzle's security code again if prompted.

8. Allow the Razzle to reset, turning itself off and back on again.

Soft Reset Your Razzle

9. Unlock the Razzle's keyboard by pressing the "OK" button.

10. Press the "END" button until the Razzle begins powering off, then release the "END" button.

11. Push the battery door latch located on the back of the Razzle and remove the back cover.

12. Remove the Razzle's battery by pulling up on the bottom edge.

13. Wait at least ten seconds, and then re-insert the Razzle's battery by lining up the metal strips on the cell phone and the battery and sliding them together until you hear a click.

14. Place the battery cover back on the phone.

15. Press the Razzle's "END" for three to five seconds to power the cell phone back on.
