Jabra makes several styles of Bluetooth headsets. Basic setup and directions for use are similar regardless of model. You'll need to charge the internal battery fully (typically two hours) before creating a secure connection with your phone. Pairing is a one-time procedure and allows your headset to communicate with your phone as long as it is in range.
Instructions
1. Disconnect your headset from the charger and leave it powered off. Power on your wireless phone and select "Settings" or "Tools," then choose "Bluetooth." Turn Bluetooth "On."
2. Press and hold the headset's "On/Off" button for approximately five seconds. Release the button when your headset's indicator light flashes. The headset is now in pairing mode. (On some models, the light will stay lit rather than flash to indicate pairing mode.)
3. Access your phone's Bluetooth options (usually located under "Settings" or "Tools.") Choose "Add New Device" or "Search" to locate the Jabra. Make sure your phone and headset are within a few feet of one another during this step.
4. Select the name of your headset from the list of discovered devices. Enter "0000" when you are prompted to enter the pass key, then press "OK." Pairing is complete. Your headset will automatically connect to your phone.
5. Position the headset on your ear in a way that feels comfortable. Most Jabra headsets have a removable ear hook that easily snaps on or off. Wear it on either ear, or without the ear hook. Be sure the microphone points toward your mouth.
6. Answer an incoming call by tapping the "Answer/End" button once. Use the volume control buttons (generally on the side of the headset, and labeled "+" or "-") to adjust the headset volume during a call.
7. Disconnect a call by tapping the "Answer/End" button once. When you are ready to turn your headset off, press and hold the "On/Off" button for approximately two seconds.
