The Jawbone's buttons are hid underneath an outer shield.
Jawbone released its seamlessly designed Jawbone II Bluetooth headset for use with cell phones in 2008. The device comes in five colors (black, gold, silver, blue, and pink), and its features include noise elimination technology, a headset and phone separation range of 33 feet, invisible touch control, over four hours of talk time, and eight days of standby mode. The Jawbone weighs 9.9 oz., measures 0.5-by-1-by-2 inches, and comes with a magnetic USB cable, a wall charger, four different hoop sizes, and three ear bud sizes.
Instructions
1. Charge the Jawbone 2 by placing the end of the headset into the slot on the charger, earpiece first with the label facing upward. Plug the other end of the USB cord into the AC adapter, then plug the adapter into an outlet. Your earpiece can also be charged via the USB cord to your computer. Allow the device to charge for 50 minutes, and make sure the battery is completely charged before use the first time. A red light indicator on the Jawbone will illuminate while the Jawbone is charging but will turn white when it is fully charged.
2. Pair your Jawbone 2 to your telephone by turning your phone's Bluetooth settings to "On." Your Jawbone device will automatically go into pairing mode the first time it is turned on. If you need your Jawbone to pair, and it's not the device's first time to be turned on, hold down the "Talk" button (the area located in the middle of the outside panel) and the "NoiseAssassin" button (the area located on the left edge of the front panel, earpiece up) simultaneously for two seconds. The Jawbone indicator light will flash red and white and your phone will read a message similar to "Search for New Devices." On your phone, select "Jawbone" from the list of devices that appear and enter the pass code "0000" to pair them.
3. Fit the Jawbone to your ear by using one of the four ear loops and one of the three ear buds that came with your headset. Hook the ear loop behind your ear, sticking the ear bud into your ear. The "Voice Activity Sensor" should come to rest on your cheek slightly. The sensor must touch your face slightly, or it will not pick up your voice.
4. Make a call using the Jawbone by first turning on your Jawbone (by holding down the "Talk" button for two seconds) and your cell phone, then placing the call from your phone. Answer a call by pushing the "Talk" button as the phone is ringing. Ignore a call by pushing the "NoiseAssassin" button as the phone is ringing.
