Download ringtones onto your BlackBerry.
The Blackberry 7100i is a smartphone for the Sprint Nextel network. This phone's features include push-to-talk, speakerphone, Bluetooth technology and GPS capabilities. You can customize your Blackberry 7100i with a ringtone that shows your personality. Ringtones can be downloaded on to your computer, uploaded to a microSD memory card and stored on your smartphone.
Instructions
1. Insert the microSD memory card into the microSD memory card USB adapter. Wait until you hear it "click," ensuring it is locked into place. A microSD memory card can only be inserted one way.
2. Plug USB adapter into computer's USB port. It may take up to a minute for the computer to recognize the adapter.
3. Find the saved ringtones on your computer that you want to transfer to your BlackBerry 7100i. Most ringtones come in either WAV or mp3 files.
4. Drag and drop the ringtone to the "Sounds" folder on the microSD memory card. Double-click on the icon for the microSD memory card to access the "Sounds" folder. Find the microSD icon through "My Computer" on Windows and through "Finder" on Mac. Repeat this process for every ringtone you wish to store on to the BlackBerry 7100i.
5. Unplug the microSD memory card USB adapter from the computer.
6. Eject the microSD memory card from the microSD memory card USB adapter.
7. Insert the microSD memory card into the Blackberry 7100i. There is a slot on the side of the smartphone specifically for a microSD memory card.
8. Click the "Menu" button on the BlackBerry 7100i. Then click the "Settings," "Memory" and "Card Memory."
9. Open the "Sounds" folder on the microSD memory card. Scroll through the downloaded rintones to see which ones you want to save and use on your BlackBerry 7100i.
10. Click the "Options" file and then "Move to Phone" to transfer ringtones from the microSD memory card on to your smartphone.
