The Nokia 6300 has a slim, attractive design.


The Nokia 6300 (the "Slim Finn") offers a luminous display and keypad, and a menu that is exceptionally functional. The display and keypad are inside a black frame that makes it conspicuous. All silver areas are steel, and the black parts are glossy plastic. Its slim design is attractive, but conservative, without unnecessary decoration.


Description and Specifications


The Nokia 6300 is combination silver and black high-definition cell phone. It is slim, at just a little over a half-inch thick, and measures 4.2 by 1.72 inches. It weighs only 3.21 ounces. The 2-inch main display is 320 by 240 pixels with up to 16 million colors. The lithium-ion battery provides as much as 3 1/2 hours of talk time and up two weeks of standby.


Features


Features of the Nokia 6300 include a hands-free speakerphone, voice commands, music player that supports MP3, compatibility with the eAAC+ and WMA formats, FM stereo radio, 2-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, video recorder/player and text/instant/picture/audio messaging. It has 7.8 MB of internal memory and expandable memory with a microSD card of up to 2 GB. The 6300 also features the ability to play 3D games, MP3 and video ringtones, downloadable themes, calendar, alarm clock, notes and to-do list.


Accessories


The Nokia 6300 has options for a wide variety of accessories, such as portable speakers, many styles of Bluetooth headsets (including stereo), a Bluetooth GPS module, car chargers, a USB port charger, speakers for hands-free speaking while driving, display car kits, extra power, multiple styles of carrying cases and holders. Also offered are a memory card reader, wireless loop set that attaches to a hearing aid and a TTY/TTD phone adapter.


Advantages


According to GSM Arena, the Nokia 6300 is solidly constructed. It includes two oblong LEDs that blink blue to alert you to missed calls or messages. The "Switch-off" button on the top of the phone's body allows for a fast change between calls. In the bottom of the phone, a mini-USB connector permits connections from the phone to a computer.


Disadvantages


The disadvantages of the Nokia 6300, as indicated by GSM Arena, include a tendency to hold fingerprints, no universal mobile telecommunications system support, disappointing camera performance with only portrait orientation of images, no infrared port, inadequate video resolution and difficult-to-press side keys.
