Once you purchase Tracfone minutes, you need to add them to your phone.
TracFone Wireless is a company that provides individuals with prepaid cell phones. There are no contracts or monthly bills associated with TracFone cell phones. TracFone owners purchase airtime minutes whenever they have money or are about to run out of minutes. Airtime must then be added to the phone. This can be done online or on the actual cell phone via the TracFone's menu.
Instructions
Online
1. Turn on your TracFone cell phone.
2. Go online to TracFone's home page and click on "Add Airtime."
3. Scratch the gray strip on the back of your airtime card to reveal the PIN number. Enter it in the "Airtime PIN Number" box. If you have any promotional codes for free minutes, enter that in the "Promotional Code" box.
4. Type your TracFone wireless phone number in the "TracFone Telephone Number" box. Click on "Submit."
5. Wait about 20 to 60 seconds for your additional airtime to appear on your phone.
On the TracFone
6. Turn on your TracFone.
7. Press the menu button on your TracFone. Choose "Prepaid" from the menu.
8. Click "Redeem Airtime" under the prepaid menu. Press the 15 numbers that make up the airtime PIN located under the gray strip of your purchased minutes card. Press the "Done" button after you have entered the PIN.
9. Wait about 20 to 60 seconds for your additional airtime to appear on your TracFone.
