Motorola released the H500 Bluetooth headset in 2006 as an advancement on the bulkier headsets that had been available previously. The H500 features two volume control buttons, a large multi-function button, a Motorola design LED indicator light, and a large ear hook, which secures the headset to the ear. While the main function of the headset is to receive audio from a mobile phone, the headset can also perform several functions, like answering calls, hanging up and even putting calls on hold.
Instructions
1. Charge the headset by plugging a charger into the port on the back of the H500, then plugging the charger into an outlet. A blue indicator light on the headset will turn on, indicating that the H500 is charging. When the indicator light turns off, the headset is fully charged.
2. Press and hold the large multi-function button on the face of the headset for six seconds to put the headset into pairing mode. The blue indicator light will turn on when the device is ready to be paired. Find the H500 on your mobile device and use "0000" as the passkey to pair the two devices together.
3. Slide the bottom of the earhook over the top of your ear. Continue to slide it until the entire earhook is around your ear and the earbud is resting in your ear. To change the ear that the headset fits into, pull on the bottom of the earhook where it connects with the headset. You can pull it loose from the hinge, then flip it over and reconnect it, and the H500 will now fit on the opposite ear.
4. Press and hold the multi-function button for about five seconds to turn the headset on. When the light starts to flash, release the button. Repeat this process to turn the H500 off.
5. Tap the multi-function button to answer a call, end a call or start a voice dial call, if your phone supports voice dialing. Press and hold the multi-function button to reject an incoming call, redial the last number, answer a second incoming call or toggle between two active calls. Tap both volume buttons to mute the microphone, or hold both volume buttons down to join a three-way call.
