The BlackBerry Storm, like most modern smartphones, comes equipped with Bluetooth technology so that you can connect the device to a headset, like the Samsung WEP200, and talk on the phone or listen to music all while the Storm is safely in your pocket. To connect the Storm and a Samsung headset, you have to go through a process called pairing, where the two devices locate each other and create a connection.
Instructions
1. Place the Samsung WEP200 into its charging box, with the earbud facing down and going into the recess in the box. Close the box cover. Plug the supplied power cord into the port on the edge of the box and into an electrical outlet. Wait 20 minutes, or until the LED on the headset turns blue, then remove the headset from the box.
2. Observe the indicator light on the headset. If it is flashing every few seconds, press and hold the Multi-Function button for four seconds, which will turn the headset off. If the headset isn't flashing, do nothing.
3. Press and hold the Multi-Function button on the headset until the LED indicator turns a solid blue. This will take approximately eight seconds. The WEP200 is now in pairing mode.
4. Press the "Menu" button at the bottom of the device, which is to the right of the green "Call" button and has the BlackBerry symbol on it. Tap the "Manage Connections" icon on your list of applications.
5. Find the "Bluetooth" setting on the manage connection screen. If there is a red "X" next to it, tap it to turn Bluetooth technology on. Then tap "Set Up Bluetooth."
6. Press the "Menu" key and choose "Add Device" from the menu. Select "Search" from the next menu. The BlackBerry Storm will search for available devices and display them in a list for you. Select "Samsung WEP200" from the list.
7. Type in a passkey of "0000." Select "Yes" to accept the connection.
