Audio programs
come in a variety of forms and features. They are used for sound editing, encoding and recording. Your audio program may becomes corrupt from system changes and improper updates and will constantly freeze, crash or run into errors. Before reinstalling the audio program, you need to uninstall the current one and remove all its files. This allows the clean reinstall not to adopt the previous one's corrupted files.
Instructions
1. Click the Windows "Start" button and click the "Control Panel."
2. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" to open the programs and applications window. Scroll through and click your audio program.
3. Click "Change/Remove" and click "Yes" to confirm and remove the program from your computer. Restart your computer if you are prompted to. This usually varies depending on the audio program you are uninstalling.
4. Double-click "My Computer" on your desktop and double-click the "C:" drive.
5. Double-click "Program Files." Locate the folder of the audio program you just uninstalled and delete it. All audio programs installed on your computer always include a folder that is stored by default in the "Program Files" folder.
6. Insert the installation disc of the audio program to begin the reinstallation. If you don't have an installation disc, check the audio program's website for a download link. If you purchased an audio program download from a particular website, the download link should still be available.
7. Follow the setup and installation instructions and select a location to install the audio program to. Setup instructions vary with different audio programs. Once you are done, your reinstallation is complete.
