The Nokia N72 is a smart phone running version 8.1 of the Symbian operating system. It works on GSM networks and can handle data over GPRS and EDGE. It features a 220-mhz TI OMAP processor. The display is a 176-by-208 pixel TFT screen measuring 2.1 inches diagonally and displaying 256,000 colors. Monopoly Here and Now
This current day remake of the Parker Brother's classic board game takes Monopoly into the present. Game pieces have been updated to include items like a hybrid car, a cell phone and a labradoodle. The names of the properties have been replaced with well know places like Waikiki Beach and Fenway Park. One Community Chest card reads "arrested for insider trading, go directly to jail." Controls are laid out in a simple four button D-pad arrangement for easy play with the phone in one hand.
ET the Extraterrestrial
Based on the 1982 film which tells the story of an alien life form stranded on earth and the boy who helps him get home, this game is actually a series of 47 mini games. There is a story mode which links the different challenges together and leads the player through the original plot of the film. Games include reflex, logic, strategy and maze. Players will have to lure the lost alien to the house, play games with it and find the pieces needed to build the radio so ET can phone home.
Doodle Jump
This game is described by both its reviewers and its makers as addictive. The graphics are rough, hand-drawn animations of a gumdrop shaped hero--called a Doodler--that players guide up a scrolling sheet of graph paper, which is the game board. The Doodler shoots balls from its snout and uses these as a weapon to blast UFOs and other enemies. To progress, he must leap from platform to platform, and he can use gadgets like springboards, propeller hats and jetpacks that he finds along the way to move faster.
Hotel Tycoon Resort
This simulation game puts the player in charge of building hotel resorts and designing them to cater to a certain clientele. Design a good resort and the customers will flock to it and make you wealthy. There are all kinds of details available like pools and tennis courts as well as the basic layout and scale. Different locations to develop help make each resort unique. The game features a story mode with eight missions to challenge players. There is also an endless mode for open-ended game play.
