Transfer Music With A Verizon Micro Sd

Music files can be transferred to a Verizon microSD(TM) with a card reader.

Many of Verizon's cellular phones come equipped with the ability to store additional data using miniSD cards. Although miniSD cards can be used to store a variety of file types, depending on the phone model, in the context of the multimedia capabilities that accompany so many cellular phones, they are very frequently used to store music files. With music files in MP3 format, a miniSD card and miniSD card reader, transferring music using a miniSD card should take just a few painless minutes.

Instructions

1. Turn on the power to the cellular phone.

2. Locate the MicroSD™ slot on the Verizon cellular phone, and uncover the slot opening.

3. Insert the MicroSD™ card in the correct direction, as indicated by the arrows on the card, until it clicks into the slot.

4. Turn off the power to the cellular phone, then on again; this will match the MicroSD™ card to the phone. Certain Verizon models, such as LG's VX8360 or LG's the V (VX9800), will need to be formatted by selecting in the following order: "Menu">"Settings & Tools">"Memory" >"Card Memory">"Options">"Format."

5. Remove the MicroSD™ card from the slot by gently pressing and releasing the exposed edge; it should pop out easily.

6. Attach the MicroSD™ card reader to a computer that has been turned on and place the card in the card reader.

7. Open the folder that shows up under the MicroSD™ storage device as "My MP3s" and transfer any desired .mp3 formatted music files into that folder.

8. When .mp3 files have finished transferring, safely remove the MicroSDâ?c card from the card reader and reinsert it into the slot in the cellular phone. The files should appear under either the "Music" folder or accessed via "Get Tunes & Tones">"My MP3s," depending on the phone model.
