Configure Calisto Pro For Voip

Calisto Pro USB VoIP configuration


The Plantronics Calisto Pro is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone system. The Calisto Pro provides a telephone headset and a handset that connect to your computer using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports. Using the provided Plantronics Personocall VoIP Utility software, you can link your Calisto Pro system with your computer. The Personocall software will allow your Calisto phone system to remotely detect and answer or release all incoming and outbound VoIP calls.


Instructions


Installation and Setup


1. Install the Plantronics Personocall VoIP Utility software on your Windows computer. This will be on a compact disc (CD) that came with the phone system. It can also be downloaded from the Plantronics website.


2. Plug your Calisto Pro phone system into an open USB port on your computer using the USB cable.


3. Launch your computer VolP call software. The Calisto Pro requires either Skype or Yahoo! Voice.

4. Launch the Skype application. A screen will appear that reads, "Another program wants to use Skype." Select the option, "Allow this program to use Skype."


5. Navigate within the Skype configuration to "Tools," and "Options," then "Sound/Audio Devices."


6. Select the Plantronics option in all three menus: "Audio In," "Audio Out" and "Ringing."


7. Save the Skype settings before exiting.

8. Launch Yahoo! Voice.


9. Navigate to "Messenger," then "Preferences," then "Calling & Audio."


10. Select the Plantronics option in all three menus: "Microphone," "Speakers" and "Ringer."


11. Select "Apply" before exiting the configuration screen.
