Bluetooth technology enables hands-free calling with your cellphone, which makes multitasking much easier and more convenient. Connecting a Motorola Bluetooth headset to a compatible phone is a simple process called pairing, which allows you to take advantage of this useful technology.
Instructions
1. Verify first that your cellphone has Bluetooth capability. Refer to the handbook that was included when you purchased the phone and check the index for topics related to Bluetooth, Accessories, or Handsfree Devices. The section will describe activate the Bluetooth feature specific to your cellphone model.
2. View the Personal Settings or Options on your cellphone even if you do not have the original instructions. Again, search for menu options labeled Bluetooth, Accessories, or Handsfree to check for Bluetooth compatibility. You will need to visit this options again later to pair the Bluetooth headset.
3. Refer to your Motorola Bluetooth instruction manual and turn on the headset. On most models, this is usually achieved by pressing the largest most visible button for a few seconds.
4. Revisit the Bluetooth settings on your cellphone and you will be presented with an On or Off option. Select On to enable Bluetooth.
5. Depending on your cellphone, you might notice an option to detect a Bluetooth device. Other phones will automatically pair to the nearest headset signal. Make the connection and wait for the name of your Motorola Bluetooth to appear on your cellphone. It will normally be identified by the model name.
6. Put on the Motorola Bluetooth and make a call with your cellphone to test for successful pairing. You will be able to hear from the earpiece if it was done properly. Most cellphones will automatically detect the Motorola Bluetooth every time you turn the headset after the initial pairing.
