Connect Bluetooth To A Samsung Cell Phone

Most Bluetooth headsets are compatible with Samsung phones.

Samsung makes a variety of mobile phones, ranging from basic models to ones with a robust set of features. Many Samsung phones are equipped with Bluetooth technology, giving you the ability to communicate without wires. You can connect to an accessory, such as a Bluetooth headset or speaker, to have hands-free conversations. To use your Samsung with a Bluetooth device, go through a quick, one-time setup process referred to as "pairing."

Instructions

1. Place the device you wish to connect to in pairing or discoverable mode. This process varies by device. You can put many headsets and other accessories into pairing mode by pressing and holding the "Call" or "Power" button for several seconds. An indicator light flashes rapidly or remains steadily lit when the device is ready. See your user guide for specific instructions.

2. Press "Menu" -- or "Start" for devices using Windows Mobile -- to open the Samsung's main menu.

3. Select "Settings," then choose "Bluetooth." Choose "Add New Device" or "Search." Your Samsung phone now attempts to locate your Bluetooth accessory. This can take a few moments.

4. Select the name of the accessory that appears in the list of found devices.

5. Use your Samsung's keypad to enter in the accessory's pairing passkey, if prompted. This varies by model, but most use "0000" or "1234." Press "OK" or "Pair" to complete the pairing.
