Use A Bluetooth Headset On A Pc

Connect your Bluetooth headset to a PC system.

New Windows-based computers may come with the ability to connect to Bluetooth devices such as game controllers and headsets. Bluetooth is a wireless method that allows two devices to communicate via an electronic sync. This sync is locked into both the computer and the headset, so the headset's signal does not disconnect unless you move out of the service range or deactivate the connection between the PC and headset.

Instructions

1. Right-click the Bluetooth icon in the lower right corner of the desktop. Choose "Enable" from the pull-up menu and the computer's Bluetooth receiver powers on.

2. Power on the Bluetooth headset.

3. Click the "Start" button, then choose "Control Panel," "Network and Internet" and finally "Set up Bluetooth."

4. Click the "Device" tab at the top of the screen, then choose "Add." A Bluetooth Device wizard appears on the screen. Click "Next," and the computer sends out a wireless signal to all the Bluetooth devices in the area.

You may need to place the headset into discoverable mode. Check the device manual for how this is done.

Momentarily the headset appears in a "Found Devices" window.

5. Select the device, then click "Next." Type in the passkey for the headset, found in the user manual of the headset. Then click "Next." The computer pairs itself up with the headset and states it has finished. Click "Finished" and the headset is ready for use on your PC.
