Install A 5300 Kodak Printer

The Kodak EasyShare 5300 is an all-in-one inkjet printer, which is also used for copying and scanning purposes in addition to printing. The printer is effective for those who frequently need to print good-quality photographs at home and includes an 3-inch LCD display for photo viewing and editing. Installing the printer is very simple. The printer packaging includes all the items listed in the Things You'll Need section.


Instructions


1. Load photo paper for Kodak 5300 printer into the paper tray. Lift the tray lid and insert the paper with the glossy side down. Kodak 5300 paper tray has a capacity of 20 sheets, so do not overload the tray. Push the tray in until you hear a click. Load plain white paper in the main tray of the printer.


2. Install the print head. Lift the access door of the printer and make sure that the orange tape from the carriage is removed. Then remove the print head from its bag and pull the orange tab to remove its protective retainer. Insert the print head into the carriage and push it firmly until you hear it click.


3. Install the black cartridge. First remove the black ink from its packaging and remove the orange cap. Then insert it into the print head and press it down until you hear it click.


4. Install color cartridges. Open and uncap all the ink cartridges and insert them into the print head. Press them down firmly until you hear a click.


5. Close the access door of the printer.


6. Connect the power supply adapter and remove the plastic covering from the LCD display of the printer. Press the "On" button.


7. Insert the Kodak EasyShare CD into your computer's CD ROM disc drive. If your computer doesn't prompt you with instructions, go to "Start" > "Run" and type "setup.exe" after selecting CD-ROM drive. Press "Enter."


8. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the software required for the printer. During the installation process, the computer will ask you to connect the printer to the computer.


9. Connect the printer to the computer using a USB cable.


10. Click "Next" on the computer and follow the onscreen instructions.


11. Reboot your computer after the installation process finishes. When the computer restarts, it will be ready to print photos and documents from Kodak EasyShare 5300.
