US Cellular is a network carrier that offers a number of ringtones for sale. However, you don't really need to purchase them when you can easily make them yourselves. The best part is that these self-created ringtones would be unique--you won't hear them on any other phone. A number of online tools allow you to make ringtones for US Cellular.
Instructions
1. Go to the website "Make Own Ringtone," click the "Upload" button and select a song from your computer you would like to use to make the ringtone. The website will take a minute or two to upload the song. Once it's been uploaded, you can place section markers on the timeline to select a particular section. click the "Selected" button to listen to the cropped part. When you're satisfied, click the "Make a ringtone" button, and save the file to your desktop. You can connect your phone to your computer using the phone's USB cable. Once the connection is established, copy the ringtone from the desktop and paste it into the phone's folder.
2. Go to the Ventones website. You will have to sign up on the website before you can make your ringtone, so click the "Register" link and provide your email, cell phone number and carrier information. Once you have signed up, click the link that says, "Create free ringtones." On the next page, click the "Upload" button and select a song from your hard drive. You can move the sliders on the timeline to select a section of the song with which you want to make the ringtone.
Ventones provides the option to send the ringtone directly to the phone. Click the "Send to phone" button and confirm that you want to transfer this ringtone. Ventones will send this ringtone to your cell phone in an SMS, which when you open it will automatically save the ringtone on the phone.
3. Go to the website "Myxer" and hover the cursor on the "Ringtones" tab, then click on "Make your own." Click the "Choose file" button and select a song from your hard drive. Click the green "Upload" button, after which you can move the orange sliders to specify a section of the song. Click the button that says "Send to Phone." You will have to provide your cell phone number to receive the ringtone in an SMS.
