The E71 is compatible with cellular towers worldwide.
Launched by Nokia in 2008, the E71 is a much sought-after smartphone in markets worldwide because of its capabilities. For that reason, many users have resorted to ordering an unlocked version of the phone from online retailers when it is not available from the major carriers in their countries.
Rogers
In Canada, the E71 is carried by Rogers Wireless. Rogers towers are located from coast to coast in Canada although they are more prominently located in urban areas than rural ones. E71 users may not be able to use all of their phone's functions, such as internet, in a rural area.
Bell
Bell Canada does not carry the Nokia E71. However, an unlocked E71 can be configured for use on the Bell Mobility cellular towers by purchasing a Bell SIM card and wireless plan.
Vodafone
Vodafone is a global telecommunications company that has cellular towers worldwide, both through its own networks and subsidiary and joint ventures. The E71 uses Vodafone towers and because of this is able to function in many countries on the cellular towers of companies partnered with Vodafone.
Verizon
As a partner of Vodafone, the U.S.-based Verizon network is able to support the E71. Verizon has cellular towers located across the U.S. that allow E71 users to use their phone's wireless and data capabilities.
