Visual voicemail is an application that can allow you to receive your voicemail messages as email or text message alerts. From the alert, you are able or read or play your message and then return the call from within the application, save it to your phone or forward it to another number. To access the application, you need the icon on your BlackBerry Storm 2. If the icon is missing, there are a few things to do to recover it.
Instructions
1. Go to the home screen of your Blackberry and press the "Menu" key. Scroll to and select "Show All" and check to see if the icon reappears. Icons can be hidden by mistake sometimes.
2. Check to see if the application is still on your phone. Open the main menu and select the "Options" icon. Scroll to and select "Advanced Options."
3. Click on "Applications" and look for the visual voicemail application. If the application is not there, it will need to be reinstalled. From your browser, click on Verizon Today and select "Get Apps." You can also access it from mobile.vzw.com.
4. Download and install the newest BlackBerry OS software from your carrier's website if you are still having problems with your visual voicemail. This will reset the entire phone and bring back the original icons and settings.
5. Call Verizon and have them remove the visual voicemail from your account. Power cycle your BlackBerry. Reinstall the visual voicemail application. Have Verizon add visual voicemail back to your account.
