The Nokia 3650 is a cellular phone that was announced in 2003. As of 2010, the model is no longer being produced or sold. The model was notable for a 640 by 480 pixel color screen and unusual circular keypad design. The Nokia 3650 operated on a 2G GSM network and was also able to transmit and receive data via infrared and Bluetooth connections. Both software and firmware updates were released by Nokia, enabling the user to upgrade his phone after purchase.
Instructions
1. Load the nokia.com website using your Web browser. Indicate which region you reside in, and click on your country location. Search for "3650" and click on "Nokia Support" from the list of search results. Select the "Software" link from the menu on the left side of the page.
2. Download the "Nokia PC Suite" to your desktop computer. The Nokia PC Suite software package allows you to access settings, make backups, and install software updates or additional software.
3. Locate and download the "PC Suite Installation Guide" document from the Nokia 3650 Software list. Using the instructions in the guide, install the Nokia PC Suite sofware, and connect your Nokia 3650 to your computer via either the phone's infrared or bluetooth connections.
4. Review the list of software updates available on the Nokia 3650 Software page. Download the updates or software packages you wish to install to your PC. Save software packages to the c:\nokia\installs folder on your computer.
5. Open the Nokia PC Suite. Select software to install from the icons that appear on the application bar. Or, if you are attempting to install Java or device software, select the "Tools" menu and locate the software to be installed. Click the icon or software package and follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Complete the installation process, then disconnect your Nokia 3650 phone from your computer. Your updated software should be available immediately.
