Download And Play Wav Files On A Palm Treo

Palm Treo smartphones are not just used for communication, organization and entertainment. Treo users can listen to their favorite music, watch videos and play games with their smartphone. Among the types of music files supported by the Palm Treo is WAV files. To listen to WAV files on your Treo, download the songs from the Internet or from your computer onto the device.


Instructions


Download WAV Files


1. Open Windows Media Player 10, or a later version, on your computer. You may experience problems with your WAV transfers if you have a previous version of Windows Media Player.


2. Plug the USB data cable into the Treo's data jack and connect the opposite end into a USB jack on your computer. The "Device Setup Wizard" window will appear on the screen.


3. Choose "Automatic" from the options in the "Device Setup Wizard" and place a mark next to "Customize the playlists that will by synchronized."


4. Select the playlists on Windows Media Player 10 that you want to transfer to your phone and click "Finish." The playlists you selected will transfer to the phone. The playlists will automatically update each time you connect the Treo to your computer.


Play WAV Files


5. Push the "Start" button on your Palm Treo and choose "Windows Media" from the list of options. A list of music control options will appear on the screen.


6. Open the Windows Media menu by pressing the right soft key on the Treo and choose "Library." Your music and video libraries will appear on the screen.


7. Choose "Library" on the upper left corner of the Treo and select the music library that contains the WAV files you transferred from your computer.


8. Highlight the song you want to play and press the left soft key under the word "Play." The song you chose will begin to play.


9. Select "Pause" on the screen to pause the song during playback, the left navigation button to start the song over from the beginning and the right navigation button to play the next music file in your library.
