Accessing the latest firmware of a Nokia N800 tablet.
The Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a wireless device that allows users to browse the Internet with Wi-Fi capabilities. The tablet also features a media player, image viewer, an RSS news reader and FM and Internet radio. The firmware is the operating system installed on your device that controls how your phone or tablet functions. From time-to-time, a firmware update is necessary to fix known issues. Determine the version of firmware running on your Nokia N800 to tell if you have the latest updates running.
Instructions
1. Tap the "Application" menu on your phone. Click "Tools," "Control Panel," then "About Product." The latest version of your tablet's firmware will display.
2. Download the Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard from the "Keep Your Nokia N800 Internet Tablet Software Up-to-Date" link found under References. Save the file to your computer.
3. Install the Software Update Wizard by clicking on the Nokia_Internet_Tablet_Software_Update_Wizard.exe file from the download. The update wizard and Nokia USB driver will install.
4. Attach the Nokia N800 tablet to your PC using the supplied USB cable.
5. Click "Start" from the system tray, select "Programs," "Nokia," "Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard," then "Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard" again.
6. Follow the instructions of the wizard to complete the firmware update.
