Becoming A Dentist

To become a dentist, a student has to obtain a pre-dentistry degree, which is a two- to four-year course of study that concentrates on science and health subjects. Once she's finished that phase of study, the student must apply and be accepted by a school of dentistry. Dentistry degrees usually are four-year courses and involve about two years of lecture and laboratory classes, followed by two years of clinical work supervised by licensed dentists.
