Troubleshoot A Jawbone Earpiece

Avoid anger-- troubleshoot your headset

The Jawbone is a premium wireless headset that can connect to your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. This headset includes several noise-reduction functions that allow you to block out exterior sounds and boost call quality. If you have a Jawbone earpiece and you are having problems with it, try troubleshooting common issues to help resolve the problem.

Instructions

1. Allow the power to drain fully from your Jawbone headset and then charge it to 100% and try to use it again. When a Jawbone is recharged, it is automatically reset, which can help clear up any technological or syncing issues.

2. Move to a different area. If there are other wireless networks in the area they may be interfering with the Bluetooth network and can cause static.

3. Make sure your phone has "Bluetooth Mode" enabled. Phones are not set to sync with Bluetooth devices by default, so you will need to enable this mode in order for your Jawbone to work. Check your phone's owner's manual for more on putting your phone into Bluetooth Mode.

4. Re-Sync your Jawbone with your phone. If you have experienced recent interference or the battery has been totally drained, the Jawbone may have fallen out of sync with your phone. Press and hold the call button while your phone is in discovery mode to initiate the sync process.

5. Contact Jawbone for support. If you suspect your problems are due to a manufacturing defect, you can contact Jawbone directly at 1-877-254-7426.
