You may have to unlock your cell phone to access its features.
The Nokia 6265i phone is programmed with security features to protect your phone from unauthorized use and to conceal your private information should your device be lost or stolen. Preset security features on the lock may vary depending on your service provider. The phone may prompt you to enter two different codes: the 4-digit lock code and the 5-digit security code. Once you have initially accessed the phone, you can adjust the security settings according to your preferences.
Instructions
Unlocking
1. Enter your four-digit unlock code when prompted. Depending on your wireless service provider, the default code is either the last four digits of your phone number, "1234" or "0000."
2. Press the "OK" key.
3. Enter the 5-digit security code if prompted. The default code is "12345." If you enter the unlock code incorrectly five times in a row, the phone will automatically prompt you for the security code. It may also prompt you for this code at other times depending on your service provider's preset settings.
4. Contact your service provider if your unlock code or security code does not work.
Managing Security Settings
5. Select "Menu," "Settings" and "Security."
6. Enter the preset unlock code and press "OK." If it is the first time you are accessing the "Security" menu, the default will either be the last four digits of your phone number, "1234" or "0000."
7. Select "Phone lock" to change when your phone locks. Select "Off" to turn off the phone lock feature, "Lock" to lock your phone immediately and "On power-up" to enable the lock function whenever you turn on your phone.
8. Select "Change lock code" from the "Security" menu if you want to change the default code. Enter your new code and press "OK."
