Problems With Bluetooth Headsets

Bluetooth headsets allow you to receive calls from a cellphone without talking into a cell phone receiver. Users might incur a few common easily fixed problems during usage.

Headset Not Hooked Up

Most users check the connections first before working out other problems. Make sure all the cords are connected correctly. If the headset still does not function properly, the user can safely assume something else causes the headset not to work.

Cell Phone not Bluetooth Compatible

The symptoms include the devices being connected and charged. If the user still does not hear a dial tone, his cell phone may not be Bluetooth compatible or it may not be synchronized with the cell phone. If a cell phone cannot recognize bluetooth devices, the user can purchase a special kit for his cell phone or purchase a new cell phone.

Headset and Phone Not Synchronized

If the Bluetooth device and the phone are properly connected and charged, a user may need to synchronize the devices to allow them to communicate with each other. Refer to the manual for your headset to learn the correct synchronizing procedure.

Phone or Headset Not Charged

If the cell phone or the headset does not have enough power, the head set will not work.

Defective Headset

Sometimes even if the user checks everything listed above, a Bluetooth headset may still not work. The easiest solution is for a consumer to contact the manufacturer if the headset is still under warranty and see if they will replace it.
