Tracfone provides you a SIM card with your cell phone.
Tracfone is a wireless cell phone company that lets you purchase a service without signing up for a contract. You only pay for the minutes you use. Once you run out of minutes, purchase additional prepaid cards. Upon activation, however, you must program your SIM card to purchase minutes. You can simply program your SIM card through the Tracfone website.
Instructions
1. Navigate to the Tracfone official website. Click "Activate/Reactive Phone."
2. Click the "Existing Customer" bar, if you have an account. Enter your email address and password.
3. Click the "New Customer" bar if you are a new customer. The website will take you through the process of creating an account. Complete the register questionnaire. This includes your full name, street address, email address and telephone number. You will also need to create a password. Press "Submit" when satisfied.
4. Click next to the circle to the appropriate activation selection. Select the model number of the cell phone you purchased. Click "Submit" when complete.
5. Remove the protective cover from your cell phone. Insert the new SIM card. Place your battery on top of it. Slide the protective cover back on and turn on your phone.
6. Enter the serial number on the Tracfone website. You can locate this on the card in the packaging material. Click the "Submit" button.
7. Wait for a computerized phone call on your phone. This will let you know that you have successfully programmed your SIM card.
