Unlock A Permanent Sim Card Block

If prompted to call customer care, you should always do so.

If you forgot the security code on your mobile phone and you enter it in four times, the phone displays an error message telling you to contact your service provider. The service provider can offer you a code called a PUK to override your personal security code. However, if you ignore the warning and you enter in your password ten more times, the phone will display, "SIM blocked." As a security measure, the SIM is permanently blocked and you cannot use your phone until the issue is resolved.

Instructions

1. Go to the local retail location for your wireless provider and tell them that you need to purchase a replacement SIM card. If you do not have a local store, call your provider's customer service. They can order a SIM card and ship it to your house. If you opt for this method, you must wait until you receive the SIM before you proceed to the next step.

2. Contact the customer service department for your wireless carrier and advise them that you need to activate a new SIM card. The number on the SIM card is on the back of the SIM card. Read the number to the representative. They will update your new SIM card number in their billing system.

3. Remove the defective SIM card from your phone and place the new SIM card into your phone. This allows you to access all of your phone settings and use your usual mobile number for communicating with people.
