Find Out Your Own Mobile Number

If you forget your new cell phone number, there are several ways to find it.

When you first get a new cell phone number, it can be difficult to remember. But you can find out your number by looking at the settings in your mobile phone or by using a few other quick tricks.

Instructions

1. Go to "Tools," "Settings," "Options" or another similar menu on your cell phone. Look for the "My Number" option. Your number will be displayed onscreen. This method will work only on certain phone models.

2. Check your cell phone bill. The phone number will be listed on the summary page. In some cases, the cell phone number may be the actual account number.

3. Call 611 or the 800 number of your cell phone service. Press the "0" key to go directly to a representative. You will be asked to provide information such as your Social Security number, name and address.

4. Call a friend's cell phone and ask for the number that's displayed on the phone.

5. Call your landline number to display your mobile number if your landline phone has caller ID.

6. Call your landline phone if it has a voice mail system and leave a message for yourself. Retrieve the message and listen to the prompts before the message is played. Most voice mail systems will instruct you to press a sequence of numbers to get "envelope information" about the caller. Your mobile phone number will be read to you by the answering system. If your mobile number is set with privacy options, you may not be able to retrieve your number in this manner.
