Program Your Motorola Bluetooth Headset

You'll need a Bluetooth enabled phone to use with your headset.

Motorola Bluetooth headsets come in a variety of styles. They're compatible with most Bluetooth enabled phones, giving you the ability to have a conversation hands-free. Regardless of the Motorola headset model you own, you need to program it to work with your mobile phone. This quick setup process is called pairing, and it usually needs to be done only once. It creates a secure connection between the headset and your phone, allowing them to connect quickly in the future.

Instructions

1. Disconnect your headset from the charging source, if applicable, and leave it powered off.

2. Press and hold the headset's center "Call" button. For headsets with a folding microphone, such as the H700, simply open the boom microphone.

3. Release the button when the indicator light remains solidly lit, after approximately six to 10 seconds. Headsets with a folding microphone will light up automatically after about five seconds. Your headset is now in pairing mode.

4. Open your phone's main menu and press "Settings" or Tools."

5. Press "Bluetooth," then "Add Device" or "Search." Press "Yes" if prompted to turn on Bluetooth power. Wait for your phone to locate your headset.

6. Press the name of the headset from the list of discovered devices that appears.

7. Enter the headset's pairing passkey using your phone's keypad. Motorola headsets use a passkey of "0000" or "1234" by default. Press "OK" to complete pairing.
