Panasonic Phones Instructions

Panasonic Telephone.


Panasonic telephones allow you to stay connected with friends and loved ones while offering easy-to-use features like speakerphone and call waiting. Learning to operate a Panasonic phone is simple and can be completed in just a few minutes. Panasonic makes many different models of phones. You might have to locate a user's manual if a few basic tricks do not work for you.


Setting the Time and Date


To set the time and date on your Panasonic phone, press the "Menu/Set" button while the phone is in Standby mode. Select Phone Setup > Menu/Set. Choose Date and Time > Menu/Set. Enter the appropriate year, using the two-digit format. For example, enter "2009" as "09." Enter the correct month and date using the two-digit format. Set the time, entering the hour and minute values using the two-digit format. Select "A" or "P" for AM or PM, then press "Menu/Set." When you have finished setting the time and date on your Panasonic phone, press and hold the "Menu/Set" button to be returned to Standby mode.


Making a Call


To make a call on your Panasonic phone, dial the desired telephone number. The number you dialed will be displayed on the phone's display screen. If the number you are dialing is longer than 15 digits, only the last 15 digits of the number will be displayed. When you are finished with your call, return the telephone handset to the cradle. The phone's display screen will show the length of the call for 15 seconds.


Using the Speakerphone


To use the speakerphone feature on your Panasonic telephone, start by pressing the "SP Phone" button and wait for the speakerphone indicator light to turn on. Dial the telephone number you wish to call. If you misdial, press the "SP Phone" button again and redial the telephone number. When you have finished your call, press the "SP Phone" button to end the call. The length of the call will be displayed on the phone's display screen. To switch from speakerphone to the handset during the middle of a call, simply lift the handset.


Using Call Waiting


To answer another call during a conversation, press the "Hold" button to hold your current call. Press the appropriate "Line" button to answer the incoming call. When you are ready to return to your original call, press the appropriate "Line" button to take the call off hold and resume the conversation.


Listening to Answering Machine Messages


To listen to messages left on your Panasonic phone's answering machine, press the "Message" button while the phone is in Standby mode. Your phone will play any new messages recorded on your answering machine. If you have no new messages, your phone will play any saved messages on your answering machine. Stop message playback at any time by pressing "Message."
